The restoration of the Transfiguration Cathedral continues

Step by step, we are bringing life back to the Transfiguration Cathedral.

The roof, facade, altars, walls, the rotunda — everything that was destroyed now stands again.

Work continues every day. We do not stop.

What has already been done:

  • — damaged walls, floors and the rotunda dismantled
  • — new exterior and interior walls built
  • — the roof, covering and trusses fully restored
  • — the right altar fully rebuilt up to the plastering stage
  • — the left altar fully restored
  • — walls and ceiling of the main altar restored
  • — windows and doors installed
  • — the entrance to the church, staircases, partitions and floors restored
  • — a new ceiling built
  • — rotunda columns restored, metal structures installed
  • — reinforced concrete belt and lintels arranged
  • — facade works completed

Currently in progress:

  • — restoration of the rotunda
  • — restoration of the pendentives and arches of the central dome
  • — finishing works in certain parts of the church

What lies ahead:

Together we are capable of anything!
