The results of the annual People of Action award, which has been organized for more than thirty years by the newspaper Vecherney Odessa, have been announced. The project celebrates those whose work and professionalism make the life of the city and the country better — doctors, scientists, entrepreneurs, cultural figures and community leaders.

Among the laureates of 2024 is the company Stikon. The award was presented for the restoration of the Transfiguration Cathedral, which was damaged as a result of a missile strike, as well as for active participation in the reconstruction and revival of important sites in Odesa.

At the official ceremony, the statuette and diploma were received by the founder and chairman of the supervisory board of the company, Leonid Yakovlevich Kryuchkov — a leader whose name is closely associated with the modern appearance of Odesa.

It is noteworthy that in 2000 Leonid Yakovlevich was already a laureate of this award — at that time the recognition was given for the construction of the Transfiguration Cathedral. Today, the company is receiving recognition for its restoration after the destruction.

In this lies both the drama of the time and the confirmation of Stikon’s enduring mission: to create, no matter what.

This award is not just a symbol of recognition, but another step in the history of the company, built by people capable of restoring, inspiring and preserving their native city.
